3D Aerodrome Sim

EASA will shortly publish a revised Specification for the ATCO Common Core Content SPEC 0113.

This document details the European curriculum for Air Traffic Controller Initial Training. There are now a further 22 ECCC objectives we are required to deliver on the ADI course. This represents an increase of 8% on the previous SPEC 0113 (previously 249, now 271 objectives).

With the challenge of all the amendments to EU regulations; technological improvements; changes in procedures; together with improvements in course delivery using more effective modes of delivery (team role play, e-learning and workshops), there is a pressing need to improve and update our ADI course.

As a Training college, we are always striving to improve our course delivery for our students. We have now developed a course using MicroNav 3D simulator technology for ADI instruction, an excellent medium for this type of course delivery, providing ultra realistic simulations of Tower operations.

Due to the enhancements to the course described above there will be a price increase required.

The main reasons for this are:

  •  Enhancing the learning experience and matching current trends in technology;
  • A further 22 objectives to be taught and developed into the course material;
  • 3D simulator costs and license fees;
  • Course development costs and approvals for this process.

Be assured though that this new 3D course will vastly improve the experience for the student, allowing an easier transition to Unit training.

The new cost for the 3D ADI course is £16,350.00 plus VAT.
