Andrew Petrie has been promoted to Simulator Supervisor.

Although having not been with GATS all that long, he has quite a background in aviation. It all kicked off in his home country of sunny Australia, gaining his Commercial Pilots License, and a certificate in Advanced Aviation, courtesy of Royal Queensland Aero Club, based in Brisbane. Andrew then worked for Outback Flying Services in Yeppoon, Australia, putting his license to good use working as a Scenic Charter Pilot. He then got bored of all the nice weather in Australia and decided to up sticks and move to the UK, where he would have more opportunities to further his career. He became part of a Hot Air Balloon Ground Crew, working for Baileys Balloons, whilst at the same time working for Filton Airport as an Air Traffic Control Assistant and Operations Officer.

For those of you that have already had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Andrew, you will know that he is a kind and down to earth chap, and will make a great asset to the Global team.
