COURSE PROSPECTUS

Aviation English

The ICAO rating scale contains the following six level descriptors:

  • Level 6: Expert
  • Level 5: Extended
  • Level 4: Operational
  • Levels 1 – 3: Non-operational.

Each level consists of the following language proficiency components:

  • Pronunciation
  • Structure
  • Vocabulary
  • Fluency
  • Comprehension
  • Interactions.

Training focuses on the specific skills described in the ICAO level 4 language profile.

Entrants require an English language level of Pre-Intermediate (ICAO level 2) and above.

Aviation English Course books, Aviation Dictionaries and specially prepared material are issued to course participants. Classroom language study is developed through practical, communicative activities and exercises within an ATC environment.
Course Duration

3 - 6 Weeks

The Aviation English Course lasts between 3 and 6 weeks depending on candidates current ability.

Group Size

3 - 8 Students per course

Courses are run with groups ranging from 3 to 8 students per course.
