We are pleased to announce that we successfully restarted our EU 2015/340, UK CAA approved training courses on Monday 1st June 2020 after the 10-week COVID-19 closure. Our International training programmes will recommence from July 1st and we aim to be near to full capacity by September 2020.

Initial reports are that the measures Global ATS have put in place to keep the staff and students safe have been well received; they are commensurate, and they are allowing effective training to take place. We are constantly monitoring the situation and are ready to adjust our, initially reduced, capacity in line with government guidelines, as they are published.

Whilst we are delighted to open our doors again, the time spent with the college closed has not been wasted. The temporary closure has provided a unique opportunity for us to review, evaluate and modernise our course delivery platforms; commence the development of exciting new courses, which will eventually be delivered online; and finally, undertake the development and creation of advanced back office systems.  This will put Global ATS in a great position to continue to deliver our first class training to our students during the remainder of 2020 and beyond.

In addition to this, we have spent a significant amount of time preparing the training environment for the safe return of our staff and students. Significant changes to our operation include:

  1. Health Screening of all staff and students upon arrival at the college
  2. Adaption of the training facility to accommodate social distancing rules, wherever practicable.
  3. A dedicated team of Covid-19 Champions ensuring that the college is kept clean and well stocked with PPE and sanitisation supplies
  4. Online staff and student training material to help normalise the new operation

With safety for staff and students at the heart of everything we do, we still have capacity for additional training programmes in 2020 and would like to hear from our customers about any training needs during the next 6 months and beyond. We will work closely with you to ensure we can assist you in overcoming your operational challenges during these unique times. From the delivery of remote training to the provision of remote pseudo pilots and even cloud-based simulation, we have solutions.

Additionally, if you would like any more detail on how we are keeping our students and staff safe during these challenging times then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
