To cope with an increased demand in training, GATS have just commissioned a further three simulator positions in a second dedicated, air conditioned, training room.

Each position is capable of running scenarios for any ATC discipline we teach: 3D Aerodrome; 2D Aerodrome; Approach Radar; Area Radar; Approach Procedural.

Every simulator runs Micronav’s Best platform, enabling us to customise the displays to reflect the training requirement. Whether it be realistic 3D visuals of the aerodrome; radar/ATM scopes; Metcom weather displays; navaid status displays; or static information displays for procedural training.

Communications between positions are all handled by our customised Troy network. These provide very low latency radio/phone line emulation, including the ability to introduce noise/garbling/intermittent reception for TRUCE training.
